Charles Parrish
Charles Parrish serves as President of Parrish Manor and has been active in the construction and development industry for numerous years and holds licenses and memberships in the following areas of the housing industry:
- NC General Contractor License
- NC Licensed Real Estate Broker
- NC Manufactured Housing Institute member
- NC Manufactured Home Dealer and Salesman
In addition, Mr. Parrish is a past director of the Johnston County Homebuilders Association and served as a director for the Capital Area Manufactured Housing Association. Mr. Parrish started in the manufactured housing industry in the early 1980s when he developed Parrish Meadows which was a 22 lot manufactured home fee simple subdivision that is adjacent to Parrish Manor. The subdivision was one of the first land/home developments in the area. To facilitate sales and promote equitable lending, Mr. Parrish met with HUD and obtained 30-year FHA/ VA financing for the subdivision, to our knowledge one of the first in North Carolina. In the early to mid 1990s, Mr. Parrish developed a custom-built home subdivision and served as the development’s main builder.In 1996, Mr. Parrish began planning Parrish Manor and worked with the city of Raleigh on text changes and design criteria since it was the first manufactured home community developed in Raleigh since the early 1980s.
Chris Parrish
Chris Parrish’s experience in the manufactured housing industry has been acquired through planning, developing and operating Parrish Manor. He has been intimately involved in every aspect of the community and continues to be involved in the day-to-day management of the community. Chris has served as the President of the North Carolina Manufactured and Modular Homebuilders Association (NCMHA) and serves on the board of the Scott Morton Scholarship Committee – NCMHA industry college scholarship foundation. At the national level, Chris has served as the Chairman of the National Communities Division of the Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI); currently serves on the NCC Board of Governors; and has served on MHI’s Board of Directors. He has recently been appointed to the board of the N.C. Rural Economic Development Center, Inc. He is also the founder and President of Nessie Foundation, Inc a 501c (3) non-profit that works to assist at-risk youth. He received a B.A. in Political Science from UNC-Chapel Hill and a MBA from Appalachian State University. Chris resides in Raleigh, NC with his wife Colleen, their two children, Ella and Keegan, and two black labs.
