When it comes to mobile home living, there are two main types of arrangements to consider. Some people live in mobile home parks, while others live in mobile home communities. Parks offer a spot to live, while communities provide families with a place to truly call home. These communities offer amenities and an experience where most people know their neighbors.
Manufactured homes make up about 6.4% of the housing market in America. Yet, for the people who have never visited or lived in a mobile home community, there are a lot of misconceptions. This is what it’s like to live in Parrish Manor.
Most of the people living in our community are families, so we created events centered around kids. From New Year to Christmas, we always have something planned for our residents. On Christmas, Santa comes into town with gifts for the children. On Halloween, the kids enjoy the candy haven we provide for trick or treating.
Candy and parties are fun, but we believe in investing in children’s growth as well. At our Reading in the Park event, local teachers come to the community to read to the children. This helps to provide screen-free entertainment where children can learn, socialize and be outdoors. We also partner with the Nessie Foundation to help set children up for success. Here are some of the activities Parrish Manor kids get to enjoy:
- Summer Camp
- Community Gardens
- Soccer Games
- Cooking Classes
Fun for the Adults
While we focus a lot of our efforts on keeping the kids happy, we didn’t forget the adults. Amenities include a clubhouse where neighbors often meet each other for food and drinks. We also have a covered picnic area where you can grill on the weekends or for July 4th. If you love fishing, grab your rod and head down to the pond to catch dinner. We also provide storage for the adventurous owners of RVs.
There are a lot of mobile parks and communities owned by corporations across America. They have one clear goal: to make as much money while investing as little as possible. Parrish Manor is family owned and operated. This keeps us connected with what and who matters most. We’re dedicated to providing you with an outstanding community experience because we want the same for our kids.
Does this sound like a community you would like to call home? Don’t take our word for it. Come see us in person! Call our team at (919) 661-1234 or visit our website to schedule a visit today.
